As much as I’d like to talk about how 2016 went, I’d really rather not. I’ve been trying to write about it for about 10 minutes now, but I really can’t properly do so, without over thinking. It was a year that made me question almost everything, including humanity, truth, and myself. Writing about it would mean I’d have to remember how BILLIONS of people were killed by their own kind- humans, if you’d still call them that. I’d have to talk about politics and bullshit justice. And my personal problems that are in no way as important as the ones I previously stated, but things I’d have to reminisce, such as the number of times I was stupid enough to get my hopes up and was let down, how horrible this year went for me, in terms of academics, family concerns, and the like. Basically, talking about it would remind both you and me how messed up 2016 was, so let’s just not.
The good is is that 2016’s almost ending and a new year, 2017, is about to begin! It’s really up to you whether you’re going to celebrate the new years and look at it as a brand new start OR treat is as just another ordinary day, only having to change “/16” to “/17” on dates, and WHERE’S THE FUN IN THAT?
I was debating on whether or not to tell you this, but you’re going to die. You’re only going to live through a handful of new year’s until you pass away. And the Earth’s not going to stop for that. It revolved before you and IT WILL revolve after you.
HOLY COW I’M NOT TELLING YOU YOU’RE NOT IMPORTANT OR THAT YOU’RE NOT NEEDED IN THIS WORLD! AND DON’T YOU DARE THINK YOU’RE NOT SPECIAL BECAUSE YOU ARE! YOU FUCKING ARE!WHENEVER A PERSON DIES, THE WORLD LOSES A BEAUTIFUL PART OF IT!
My point is that if you don’t see new year’s as something to be happy about, at the very least, then you should try seeing it that way this time around. We only live once and we don’t know when our inevitable death will come, so we should always choose happiness and to really live life to the fullest (in a fulfilling and heartwarming way with no regrets, not the IMMA DO SHIT COS YOLO! NONSENSE).
2017 IS A BRAND NEW YEAR!
(Note: This post is kinda shitty, so I’m going to write something again tomorrow, and I sure hope it’s not as bad as this one. I really meant for this to end with an inspiring note, but I lost my train of thought and now I don’t feel like continuing it. SECOND PART TOMORROW! SORRY!).
LIVE. LAUGH. LOVE
